In this series of Q&As, we get to know some of our Open Banking Expo Awards 2024 judges.
This week, Louisa Murray, Railsr’s chief sales officer, reveals what she enjoys about being a member of the judging panel.
1. What do you enjoy most about being part of the Open Banking Expo Awards judging panel?
I enormously enjoy reading the applications and learning about new use cases – I’m involved on a day-to-day basis in Open Banking and fintech, but there’s always something new I haven’t thought about and considered.
I also love the judging – it’s great to catch-up with some real characters.
2. In the time you’ve been judging the Open Banking Expo Awards, what has been the most noticeable change in terms of industry progress/development?
The hugely positive growth in Open Banking adoption.
3. What is most exciting you about this year’s entries?
There’s an exciting combination of well-known brands, with a sprinkling of startups and non-financial companies.
4. Why is it so important to recognise the achievements of companies and individuals within Open Banking, Open Finance and payments?
The industry is thriving, but further recognition and publicity around that will help to drive more growth and understanding from potential corporate and consumer adopters.
