Canada’s League Data, which is the chief information officer and technology partner for Atlantic credit unions, has appointed Chad Griffin as its new chief executive officer, following the recent departure of Carrie Forbes.

Griffin has worked at League Data since 2017, firstly, as chief information officer and most recently as interim chief executive officer.

He succeeds Forbes, who held the role of chief executive officer of League Data from July 2020 to October this year, having previously served as chief strategy officer for six years.

In a press statement, League Data said that Griffin’s leadership style “maintains stability and momentum during a critical period of change”.

He has more than 25 years of experience spanning technology, leadership, consulting, and entrepreneurship, and has held leadership positions at Deloitte Digital, Adeptio, and SwiftRadius.

Alfred Arsenault, chief executive officer of Provincial Credit Union and chair of the board of League Data, said: “We are grateful for Chad’s commitment towards League Data over the years.

“His leadership and dedication have been invaluable during this time, and the board has full confidence in his ability to lead League Data into the future. We look forward to working with Chad as he continues to drive the company’s vision forward.”

Griffin added: “I would like to thank the board for their trust in me to drive the organization’s growth.

“My focus will be working towards advancing digital and whole-system transformation, strengthening team capabilities, and fostering collaboration within the credit union ecosystem. This will help ensure League Data continues to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.”

League Data is currently overseeing the migration of the Atlantic Credit Union System to the Mambu cloud-based banking platform. To date, the migration of 14 credit unions has successfully been completed.

At the start of the year, League Data acquired Canadian credit management solutions provider Technicost from Co-operators Financial Services.
