Ebury, a global fintech firm specialising in payments, collections, FX risk management, and business lending, has formed a strategic partnership with Open Banking solutions provider Salt Edge.
The collaboration aims to integrate Salt Edge’s PSD2 APIs, thereby enabling both entities to bolster their visibility, attract new clientele, and offer enhanced Open Banking services to existing customers.
Since its inception in 2009, Ebury has constructed a secure end-to-end payment infrastructure that caters to a plethora of international payment, FX, and lending needs among its clients.
The company’s mission is to simplify and facilitate global trade, making it accessible to businesses of all sizes, and helping clients transact and scale globally.
With the integration of Salt Edge’s Open Banking expertise, Ebury can now broaden its service offerings, allowing clients to unlock new avenues for global expansion.
Salt Edge is working with the team at Ebury, integrating its EU and UK PSD2 APIs to provide Ebury account holders with instant and compliant access to a comprehensive network of accounting, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Treasury Management platforms and using Salt Edge’s service for automated reconciliation.
This collaboration will heighten Ebury’s prominence among financial service providers across Europe and the UK, ensuring Ebury clients reap the benefits of Open Banking.
“Ebury is excited to be working with Salt Edge to extend the benefits of Open Banking to our UK and EU customers,” said Toby Young, group technology director at Ebury.
“Ebury exists to connect companies to the world and optimise international trade, and our partnership with Salt Edge will simplify our customers’ reconciliation processes, allowing them to focus on growing their businesses.”
Bodrug Virgiliu, Open Banking solutions expert at Salt Edge, added: “Salt Edge is thrilled to support Ebury’s commitment to helping SMEs and businesses streamline and simplify cross-border trade.
“By adding Ebury’s PSD2 API to our network, we enable their clients to securely and seamlessly share account information with ours, eliminating regulatory burdens. Leveraging Ebury’s unique product offering, this collaboration reinforces our shared dedication to delivering innovative and comprehensive financial solutions.”
In July, Salt Edge launched version six (V6) of its Open Banking Gateway API, having unveiled the previous version back in 2019.
Among the key updates and enhancements incorporated into API V6 is speed and ease of integration.
Salt Edge is event partner of the Open Finance Show, which is co-located with Open Banking Expo UK & Europe on 15-16 October at the Business Design Centre in London. Click here to find out more about the agenda, speaker line-up and exhibitors.
