GoCardless appoints former Checkout.com exec as new CPO

Bank payment company GoCardless has appointed Shaun Puckrin from Checkout.com as its new chief product officer.

In his new role, Puckrin will lead the product teams with responsibility for the product development and innovation agenda, including new payment flows, Open Banking capabilities and continuous product improvements to help merchants collect and send payments from GoCardless’ bank payment platform.

He joins from Checkout.com, where he served as senior vice president product, leading a team of product managers and overseeing its core payment products, including card acquiring, issuing and authentication.

At Checkout.com, he launched new product lines, and led product expansion across Japan, the US, Canada and MENA.

Previously, Puckrin worked at issuer processor GPS, now Thredd, in the role of chief product officer, and at property startup Nested, where he was vice president, product and engineering.

He also held several senior leadership positions at Worldpay.
