Bank payment company GoCardless has formed a strategic partnership with next-generation technology provider Endava with a view to helping merchants more quickly access the benefits of bank payments.
Through the partnership, Endava will offer and manage the integration of GoCardless payment solutions within their enterprise clients, as part of large-scale digital transformation projects.
Joint customers of Endava and GoCardless can take advantage of direct debit capabilities for recurring payments.
This feature enables automatic fund transfers from a payer’s bank account on the due date, thereby ensuring predictable revenue streams and improved cash flow. It also promises to significantly reduce the effort required to chase late payments.
Moreover, the partnership will introduce GoCardless’ Open Banking-powered payment feature, ‘Instant Bank Pay’.
Designed for one-off payments, this option can be up to 54% more cost-effective than traditional card payments, according to GoCardless.
Lewis Brown, head of partnerships and alliances at Endava said: “Companies today face complex problems, and we’re committed to bringing the latest innovations to help address them.
“Payments are no different; it’s often an underappreciated source of top-line growth and cost savings.”
Brown added: “By working with GoCardless, we can bring our clients cutting-edge payment solutions combined with the tailor-made approach they’ve come to expect from us – helping them reach their digital transformation goals and deliver value more quickly.”
By combining direct debit and Open Banking payments on a single platform, enterprise businesses can offer a “seamless payment experience” to their customers, whether it involves regular or single payments.
Tom Metcalfe, director, UK&I partnerships at GoCardless, called the collaboration “a big strategic step forward”, that will enable GoCardless to reach larger organisations and their suppliers at scale.
He said: “We’re excited to partner with Endava so more enterprise businesses can experience how bank payments help them win and retain customers, save time and money, and get paid on time.”
