Customers of Salesforce AppExchange, an enterprise marketplace for partner apps and experts, will be able to benefit from a new global account-to-account payments integration with bank payment company GoCardless.

The launch of GoCardless for Salesforce on Salesforce AppExchange will enable customers to access the GoCardless payments platform directly within Salesforce.

The new integration is aimed at customers in the energy and utilities, financial services, property and government sectors.

These customers will be able to tap into GoCardless’ entire product suite, including its Open Banking-enabled feature ‘Instant Bank Pay’, and Direct Debit, to automate the collection of one-off and recurring payments in more than 30 countries.

“We’re proud to launch GoCardless for Salesforce, the first integration for account-to-account payments available on the Salesforce AppExchange,” said Seb Hempstead, vice president of partnerships at GoCardless.

“We’re making it easier for AppExchange users to collect one-off and recurring payments. Our integration not only provides more visibility and control over how AppExchange users get paid, but also makes the process faster and easier for end payers.”

Since its inception in 2006, the Salesforce AppExchange platform has grown to include more than 8,000 apps and experts, with in excess of 12 million customer installs, connecting customers of all sizes and across industries to ready-to-install or customisable apps, and Salesforce-certified consultants.

Alice Steinglass, executive vice president and general manager, platform at Salesforce, called GoCardless for Salesforce a “welcome addition to AppExchange” because it accelerates business transformation for customers by automating their payment processes.

“AppExchange is constantly evolving to connect customers with the right apps and experts for their business needs,” she added.

Recently, GoCardless partnered with the Federation of Small Businesses in the UK to help its members tackle late payments, by providing advice and guidance over when and how to get paid.

It means that GoCardless is headline sponsor of the new ‘FSB GoCardless Late Payments Hub’, which includes practical tips on how to minimise payment admin and improve cash flow.

Earlier this year, GoCardless joined Crown Commercial Service’s Open Banking Dynamic Purchasing System, to become a government-approved Open Banking supplier.
