Open Banking Expo can reveal that speakers from Equifax and Token.io, and a strategic advisor in the data and technology space, will discuss the leadership lessons they have learned during their respective careers, at the Women in Open Banking Meetup on 16 October.

Nadia Strone, vice president, human resources at Equifax, Token.io’s chief financial officer Tatiana Okhotina and Alina Timofeeva, founder and chief executive officer of Unique.Bold.You, will share their experiences of cultivating leadership skills in a spirited discussion.

During the panel debate, moderated by Ellie Duncan, head of content at Open Banking Expo, Women in Open Banking members can expect to hear stories of personal growth from the panellists, including what it has taken them to get to where they are, and the mistakes made along the way.

The panellists will reveal the “trade-offs” that are needed to rise through the ranks, and how today’s future leaders can follow their example by balancing the personal with the professional, while bringing their authentic selves to the workplace to create tangible business impact.

Timofeeva is a multi-award-winning strategic advisor in data and technology to major financial services organisations, and has worked with consulting firms including Oliver Wyman, KPMG and Accenture.

She founded her company Unique.Bold.You with the mission to inspire individuals to see failure as an opportunity to grow, and to share the lessons learnt from the various challenges that she encountered on her journey as a first-generation immigrant with a disability.

Strone joined Equifax in 2023 and has more than 20 years’ experience leading people strategy development and high-impact transformation within global businesses.

Kelly Stanley, co-founder of Open Banking Expo, said: “We are thrilled to have such inspiring and accomplished speakers sharing their stories of leadership at our next Meetup for UK-based members.

“Leadership is a skill that requires years of honing, so we’re going to be hearing from our guests about their personal journeys on the way to becoming leaders in their respective fields. This Meetup is also an opportunity for our members to network – whether that’s meeting with your mentor or mentee, or making new contacts.”

Following the discussion, there will be an opportunity to network with other members and mentors or mentees over drinks.

The Meetup is taking place at Skinny Kitchen, at the Business Design Centre in London from 08.00am BST.
