This year, the Open Banking Expo Awards will be hosted by comedian and Radio 4 panel and comedy show regular Lucy Porter.

She will bring her disarmingly warm and chatty style to the Awards ceremony on 15 October, where the winners will be announced at the Business Design Centre in London.

Porter, whose Edinburgh festival shows typically sell out, has made several appearances on the BBC’s Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week, as well as Newsnight, The Culture Show, and Richard Osman’s House of Games.

Away from comedy, Lucy starred alongside Christian Slater in the stage version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

She is also a keen amateur quizzer and has won Celebrity Mastermind and ITV’s The Chase, as well as appearing on Fifteen to One, The Weakest Link and Pointless, raising money for charities including Children in Need, the Loss Foundation and Carers UK.

Kelly Stanley, co-founder of Open Banking Expo, said: “We are delighted to announce that Lucy Porter is the host of the Open Banking Expo Awards 2024.

“A familiar face on the comedy circuit and on radio and TV, Lucy will help make the awards ceremony a really fun and enjoyable evening for all our shortlisted companies and individuals.”

Stanley added: “We look forward to recognising the winners in each category during a glittering ceremony.”

Open Banking Expo recently revealed Raidiam as headline partner of its annual Awards scheme, which is now in its fourth year.

With entries now closed across the 14 categories, judging will take place in September.

Winners will be announced across categories including Best Industry Partnership, Open Banking for Good, Best App and Best Sector Initiative, while the Women in Open Banking categories will recognise a Rising Star and the Woman of the Year.
