Pay.UK appoints Fiona Bradshaw to new role as director of payments

Pay.UK, the not-for-profit operator of the UK’s national retail payments system, has appointed Fiona Bradshaw to the newly-created role of director of payments.

Bradshaw, who has already started in her new role, joined from HSBC, where she was head of innovation, global payments, responsible for setting up and leading the payment innovation practice within global payment operations at the bank.

In her role at Pay.UK, Bradshaw will be responsible for payment operations, fraud operations, and customer onboarding and assurance.

She will work alongside the director of technology, as part of the chief operating office leadership at Pay.UK. 

Bradshaw has more than 25 years’ experience in payments and transaction banking, including at RBS, the Financial Conduct Authority, PwC and, most recently, HSBC.

David Morris, chief operating officer at Pay.UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Fiona Bradshaw to the role of director of payments at Pay.UK.

“In this new position, Fiona will lead our payment operations team to further strengthen the operational resilience of Pay.UK’s systems and services, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of the people and businesses that rely on them every day.”

In a post on LinkedIn, Bradshaw wrote: “I’m really looking forward to working with this special organisation to deliver great outcomes for the whole of the UK payment ecosystem.”
