Account-to-account payment infrastructure provider Token.io has appointed Gideon Fourie as its new managing director of Token GmbH, following the departure of Dr Lea Maria Siering.
Fourie’s experience is in the banking and fintech sectors, with a focus on strategy, business development and payment innovation.
Most recently, Fourie was chief commercial officer at global payments processor RS2, and has previously served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, DACH region, at Fiserv.
“I am thrilled to join Token GmbH as managing director and lead the company’s continued expansion in Germany and across the European market,” said Fourie.

Token.io’s tech hub is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.

Dr Siering joined Token in April 2023 as managing director to lead its operations in Germany.
Last week, Dr Siering announced on LinkedIn that she would be joining Zalando Payments as managing director.
