Karnan Ariaratnam

As the Vice President of Digital Payments and Open Banking at Symcor, Karnan leads the successful execution of Symcor’s COR.CONNECT Open Banking Line of Service and drives the evolution of the company’s Digital Payments offerings.

Karnan joined Symcor in 2023 from Scotiabank/Tangerine, where he was responsible for their Open Banking strategy and execution. Prior to his tenure at the bank, he led digital delivery activities at Manulife Bank, focusing on developing digital strategy, planning, and portfolio management in the Open Banking and payments modernization areas.

Karnan is a proud father of two, from whom he continuously learns to be kind, energetic, and happy. He enjoys long drives in nature and has a passion for investments, including analyzing public companies and macro trends in his spare time.
