Promoting Pay by Bank across London with Tink and Splitwise

Tink, A Visa Solution, recently ran an out-of-home campaign with its partner Splitwise, showcasing how the bill-sharing app has introduced Pay by Bank payments, so that users can pay friends and family more easily.

Early results from the campaign have been extremely encouraging, as more Splitwise users than ever before manage expenses without leaving the app.

Splitwise chief executive officer Jon Bittner, in a customer story video, said: “Allowing our customers to Pay by Bank is really the natural next step in what Splitwise has always been trying to do. We started looking at how we could enable people to more easily settle up, rather than having to go to their banking app to pay for something and then re-record it in our app.

“We wanted to give our customers a way to make payments right from where they were in their journey… Tink’s technology worked out of the box, was well-tested, and they understood what really needs to happen to make Open Banking a success for Splitwise.”

Tink and Splitwise have been shortlisted in the Best Industry Partnership category in the Open Banking Expo Awards.
